Stephen E. Mainini, MD,FACP,FCCP,CWSP

About Stephen

Dr. Mainini has been a member of the Cody Regional Health medical staff for 30 years. For the first 25 years, he provided Internal, Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine to Northwest Wyoming. He semi-retired in 2017 and started working part-time in the CRH Wound Care and Hyperbaric Clinic.

Dr. Mainini completed his Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary Fellowship at St. Louis University School of Medicine. He is a board-certified Diplomate from the American Board of Internal Medicine – Pulmonary Diseases and the American Board of Wound Management.

He proudly served 8 years in the United States Army Medical Corps, receiving his honorable discharge with the rank of Major in 1996. He has been a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Chest Physicians. He is a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association, serving as Medical Director for 11 different short-term third-world mission teams. Dr.Mainini was instrumental in starting the Cody branch of the Heart Mountain Volunteer Medical Clinic and served as Medical Director for 13 years. For his dedication to community health, he has received the “Service Above Self” and the “Difference of One” awards.

Dr. Mainini has been married to his high school sweetheart, Rita for 42 years, they have 2 grown children, and 4 beautiful granddaughters living in Cody. His special interests are now spending quiet moments with God and family, hunting, hiking, and being a servant leader in our community.
