About Galen
Dr. Galen Mills, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who provides surgical care and call coverage at Cody Regional Health and performs procedures at West Park Hospital. He brings a strong academic background and a commitment to high-quality, patient-focused care.
Dr. Mills earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Carroll College in Helena, Montana, graduating with honors. He completed medical school at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, where he also graduated with honors. His postgraduate training includes an orthopedic surgery residency at UT Health San Antonio, providing comprehensive experience in orthopedic care.
In addition to his formal medical training, Dr. Mills studied at the Christian Spanish Academy in Antigua, Guatemala, strengthening his ability to communicate with Spanish-speaking patients and families.
Dr. Mills is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, Wyoming Medical Society, Wilderness Medical Society, and the Christian Medical and Dental Association.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Mills enjoys rock climbing and mountaineering, mountain biking and cycling, travel, hunting, and continuing to develop his Spanish language skills.
