Diana Foster, LPC,LPC
About
Diana Foster has practiced for over 25 years in mental health and substance use services. During that time she has had various experiences treating clients in many different settings. Diane has worked in community mental health centers, substance abuse centers, inpatient mental health settings, private practice, and mental health clinics. She's provided counseling to military service members and was embedded with the LRS unit at Ellsworth Air Force Base and worked out of the Airman Family Readiness Center and the Child Development Center at FE Warren Air Force Base. It was a pleasure for her to provide counseling services to our military members and their families.
She received her BS at the University of Wyoming and M.Ed at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO, and has enjoyed using several different modalities during her career. She enjoys using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Positive Psychology.
It is her belief that clients have the ability to learn the skills or resolve issues and live productive healthy lives. She likes to work toward a measurable goal when working with a client so they can both measure progress and determine if the treatment is effective or if they need to change directions.
Diana prefers to use Solution Focused therapy which allows us to move toward the goal, during this process the client learns of their power and ability to succeed on their own. When working with a client she works as a team to find solutions and create healing.
If you are ready to begin the journey to better mental health Diana would love to help you!
