Fran Baker, MD

Fran BakerDr. Baker is a retired pediatrician who moved to Meeteetse with her husband, Lenox, a retired cardiothoracic surgeon. They met at medical school and have been married 48 years.

After graduating from Johns Hopkins Medical School in 1966, training in their specialties in Pittsburgh and living in Phoenix for five years, they spent 30 years in Norfolk, Va.

They purchased the Pitchfork Ranch in 1999 and retired to live here full time in August 2010. Their daughters and three grandchildren live in Texas and California.

For relaxation, Dr. Baker has played in USTA tennis tournaments and is currently walking/running half marathons in hopes of finishing a full marathon in the future.

Dr. Baker served six years on the board of trustees of Davidson College as well as numerous volunteer boards in Norfolk/Virginia Beach
