Dr. Valerie Baldes, MD (formerly Dr. Valerie Lengfelder) is now accepting new patients at Cody Regional Health. As an internal medicine physician, she provides primary care for adults, helping patients stay well, manage ongoing health conditions and navigate their healthcare needs over time.

With decades of experience caring for patients in Wyoming and throughout the region, Dr. Baldes believes the best care begins with understanding the person sitting across from her. “Listen first” is more than a philosophy for Dr. Baldes. Wyoming Roots and Decades of Experience

Dr. Baldes has deep connections to Wyoming. Her education includes time at Central Wyoming College and the University of Wyoming before earning her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in Seattle where she also served as chief resident.

Dr. Baldes has cared for patients in both rural and urban healthcare settings and has held leadership roles focused on quality, safety and medical staff development. She has also helped educate the next generation of healthcare professionals, serving in clinical teaching roles connected with the University of Washington School of Medicine and the University of Wyoming.

Today, she brings that depth of experience to patients at Cody Regional Health.

When she isn’t caring for patients, Dr. Baldes enjoys baking and fishing with her family, offering a glimpse of the person behind the white coat. Her combination of extensive experience, connection to Wyoming and personal approach to care is what she brings to her practice at Cody Regional Health.
