Cody Regional Health Welcomes New Foundation Director, Heather Stambaugh

Cody Regional Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Heather Fink Stambaugh as its new Foundation Director. With more than 25 years of experience in health services and nonprofit leadership, Heather brings a strong passion for community-driven healthcare and rural advocacy to her role.

Originally from Parkersburg, Iowa, Heather’s early roots on a family farm laid the foundation for her service-minded career. Her professional journey spans impactful roles with organizations such as the American Diabetes Association, Intermountain Health, and RiverStone Health in Montana. Heather moved to Park County to join her husband Scot, a lifelong resident in the Big Horn Basin, in 2021. She is enjoying and embracing the people, lifestyle, and traditions of the area.

“I am a mission-driven person and I believe in supporting my community,” said Stambaugh. “Health is something we often take for granted until a diagnosis or crisis reminds us how essential quality care is. I’m excited to help connect donors to opportunities that support the growth and accessibility of healthcare in our region.”

Heather succeeds Interim Foundation Director Kelly Jensen, who helped guide the organization through a time of transition.

“I’m excited to pass the torch to someone who shares the same heart for service,” said Jensen. “Heather’s dedication to rural communities and experience in healthcare outreach make her the right fit to lead the Foundation forward.”

Cody Regional Health CEO Hannah McRae shared her enthusiasm for the future. “Heather’s passion for connecting people and building strong community relationships aligns perfectly with our vision at Cody Regional Health. We are confident she will help us elevate the impact of our Foundation and continue to foster generosity throughout the region.”

The Cody Regional Health Foundation plays a vital role in supporting programs, equipment, and patient care initiatives across the organization. Heather is eager to meet supporters, explore new partnerships, and grow awareness about the Foundation’s impact.

“I’m here and ready to connect,” said Stambaugh. “It’s an honor to serve the people of the Big Horn Basin Region in this way.”
