Celebrities for a Cause Donates $25,000 to Big Horn Basin Cancer Center to Support Local Cancer Patients

Celebrities for a Cause, a nonprofit founded by Cody native Ryan Brown, presented a generous $25,000 check to Cody Regional Health’s Big Horn Basin Cancer Center. The donation will directly support local cancer patients by helping offset out-of-pocket treatment expenses and other related costs that create a burden while in treatment.

Ryan Brown started Celebrities for a Cause five years ago in honor of his father, who passed away from cancer. Since its founding, the organization has raised and donated tens of thousands of dollars to support meaningful causes throughout Park County.

“This cause is deeply personal for me,” said Ryan Brown, Founder of Celebrities for a Cause. “I’ve seen firsthand the toll cancer takes on families—not just emotionally, but financially. I want these funds to go directly to the patients in our community who are fighting every day. If we can ease even a little bit of that burden, we’ve done something good.”

Jennifer Ball, RN, Director of the Big Horn Basin Cancer Center, expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the support, “Ryan’s generosity and continued commitment to our community are inspiring. This gift will make an immediate impact on our patients, allowing us to assist those who are struggling to cover the cost of their care. These are real people in our own backyard, and this funding brings relief when it's needed most.”

These donations don’t just provide financial support—they bring hope. It’s amazing to witness our community coming together in such meaningful ways. Every dollar given through our Foundation goes directly to hospital programs and services, ensuring patient-centered care.”
