Cody Regional Health (CRH) is proud to announce the start of a significant MRI replacement project, furthering our commitment to providing cutting-edge diagnostic technology and patient-centered care to the Big Horn Basin community.
As part of this project, a state-of-the-art mobile MRI unit has been installed behind the hospital to ensure uninterrupted access to MRI services throughout the 3–4 month replacement period.
“This investment in replacing our MRI technology represents our dedication to innovation and to the patients we serve,” said Hannah McRae, CEO of Cody Regional Health. “We are committed to bringing the most advanced imaging technology to Northwest Wyoming so our patients can receive the highest quality of care close to home.”
The replacement MRI system will feature enhanced image quality, faster scan times, and improved patient comfort, allowing CRH’s radiology team to better diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions. During the upgrade, all patients requiring MRI scans will be transported safely to the mobile MRI unit by CRH technologists to ensure a seamless, safe, and professional experience.
“Upgrading our MRI technology is a major step forward for our department and the community,” said Eric Lipe, Radiology Director at CRH.
As part of this project, a temporary hallway closure near the Emergency Department will be in effect, with clear signage and alternate routes provided for staff and patients. CRH is committed to minimizing any disruptions while ensuring continued access to high-quality imaging services.
This initiative reflects Cody Regional Health’s mission to deliver advanced healthcare solutions locally, so patients don’t need to travel far for the care they deserve.
