Cody Regional Health Pediatric Clinic, located at our satellite Cathcart Health Center, specializes in the prevention and treatment of illness in newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. Our team of pediatricians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and staff collaborate with specialists in the area to provide the most comprehensive care for your child and, as a result, peace of mind.

Meet Our Team

Peter Sidor, MD

Peter Sidor, M.D., F.A.A.P

Board Certified Pediatrician who co-founded the Cody Regional Health Pediatric clinic in 2015. Originally from Hawaii, he earned his undergraduate degree in Molecular Genetics from the University of Rochester. He then went on to medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine, graduating in 2009. Dr. Sidor finished his surgery internship at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles and then went on to complete a Pediatric Residency at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Sidor sees newborns to young adults in both the outpatient and hospital setting at Cody Regional Health.

Dr. Sidor had always wanted to come out west and has enjoyed making his home in Cody. When not working he enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and a menagerie of animals. He enjoys all the exciting outdoor activities the Big Horn Basin Region has to offer. He is currently unsuccessfully attempting to become a better fly fisherman.

Dr. Sidor is happy to do “Meet and Greet” appointments if patients are expecting a new baby or are new to the area.

Laurie Hipwell, MSN, CPNP-PC/AC

Laurie Hipwell, MSN, CPNP-PC/AC

Laurie Hipwell is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certified in Pediatric Primary and Acute Care. She joined the Cody Regional Health pediatric team in 2015. She graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina with a BSN in 1992 and her MSN in 2008. She received her Acute Care Certification from John Hopkins University in 2019. Prior to joining the Cody Regional Health pediatric team, she worked as an RN and then an ARNP with children born with Congenital Heart Defects. She enjoys seeing children in the Pediatric Clinic. She also serves as the Pediatric Hospitalist and sees infants and children who are in the hospital. She is excited to serve children and their families in our local community and she enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities that Cody offers.
