“ They treat you with respect, dignity, and make it kind of a fun experience… I don’t think there’s any need to go to a faraway place.”
A few years ago, Byron Sheetz was diagnosed with stage IV renal cell cancer — a diagnosis that could have felt overwhelming. But at the Big Horn Basin Cancer Center, Byron found something invaluable: hope.
In this short testimonial, Byron shares his experience receiving cancer treatment close to home, why he chose to stay local, and how our team supported him every step of the way. He reminds us that cancer care doesn’t have to mean traveling far from family or familiar surroundings.
As Byron says: “They treat you with respect, dignity, and make it kind of a fun experience… I don’t think there’s any need to go to a faraway place. I went to Mayo Clinic, and they did the same thing they did here.” We are grateful to Byron for sharing his journey and for trusting Cody Regional Health with his care.
