Cody Regional Health Expands Women’s Health Services with Advanced Breast MRI Screening

New service brings advanced breast imaging technology closer to home for women across the Big Horn Basin and Northwest Wyoming

Cody Regional Health is proud to announce the launch of Advanced Breast MRI Screening, a significant expansion of women’s health services designed to provide patients across Northwest Wyoming with access to advanced breast imaging technology close to home.

The addition of breast MRI screening reflects Cody Regional Health’s continued commitment to expanding specialty care services locally so patients can receive high-quality, advanced healthcare without the burden of traveling outside the region.

Breast MRI screening is an important supplemental imaging tool used alongside screening mammograms, particularly for women with dense breast tissue, elevated breast cancer risk, or findings that require a more comprehensive evaluation. While mammograms remain the gold standard for breast cancer screening, breast MRI can provide additional visibility that may help detect abnormalities not always visible through traditional imaging alone.

The new service is being offered in partnership with Casper Medical Imaging, helping strengthen local access to specialized breast imaging expertise while expanding options for patients throughout the region.

Offering this service locally means women can receive advanced screening and follow-up care closer to home, without unnecessary travel or delays.”
