Billing Resolutions Coming to Cody Regional Health

Cody, Wyo.(July 24, 2018) Cody Regional Health (CRH) is proactively working on a new patient billing system for their patients due to the unforeseen issues with their third party vendor in Denver, Colorado used for patient statement processing. All patients currently experiencing billing difficulties with Cody Regional Health are encouraged to contact their local business office to assist them with these concerns at 307.578.2549.

“Our customer service representatives are available now for any billing questions. Anyone can give them a call at 307.578.2549, go to CodyRegionalHealth.org and select the contact form, or walk-in to speak with someone in person from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The billing department is located inside the main entrance,” stated CRH Patient Financial Director, Jackie Kyhl.

Cody Regional Health will soon offer a patient payment platform that supports bringing self-pay billing statements to be managed at the hospital level versus outsourced in Denver. The new service will allow patients to set up payment plans online themselves and includes a customer evaluation element to support ongoing patient feedback about billing. Watch for the new service offering in a few months as infrastructure to support this significant change is finalized.

“We have heard and continue to hear our patients concerns surrounding our billing processes. We have been proactively working on a solution and are confident these efforts will meet the needs of our patients and the community,” states Cody Regional Health CFO, Randy Nightengale.

The billing items Cody Regional Health is currently addressing include:

  • Easier to read billing statements
  • Availability of local customer service representatives
  • Additional Payment Options
  • Self-service Options Regarding Payments and Payment Plans

Educational courses around interpreting insurance and billing statements will be offered by Cody Regional Health’s team August 6, 7 and 8 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at Cody Regional Health. These courses will assist patients in understanding the insurance billing process as well as how to navigate insurance plan coverages and responsibilities.
