SPIN Cody Rescheduled for 2022

Cody Regional Health (CRH) Foundation has decided to postpone the 2021 SPIN Cody fundraising event this season, in light of the dynamic public health landscape resulting from COVID-19. CRH Foundation plans to host SPIN Cody next year in 2022.

“The serious health concerns related to bringing large groups of people together for this event, as well as the difficulties in social distancing, has forced the cancellation of the 2021 SPIN Cody stationary bike race,” stated Doug McMillan, CRH Chief Executive Officer.

SPIN Cody is one of CRH Foundations' signature fundraising events that host multiple teams competing on stationary bikes to help the Foundation raise funds for a healthier life, and community. This event typically draws between 15-30 separate teams with approximately 300-500 participants, volunteers, and supporters. The atmosphere is energetic, fun creative, and family-oriented. SPIN Cody has supported funding for the cardiac catheterization lab, 3D mammography, and transcranial magnetic stimulation an alternative mental health therapy.

“We’ve been incredibly proud to host the SPIN Cody event in our community over the last three years and are disappointed current circumstances will prevent us from providing this fun team based fundraiser this spring,” said Annalea Avery, CRH Foundation Director “We look forward to returning in 2022 to host this family-friendly event and be able to deliver a much stronger and safer community event next year.”

“We know these events are valued community traditions, and we thank our riders, participants, sponsors, and our local businesses for their continued patience and understanding.” Said, Avery

The CRH Foundation has been actively working through alternative ways to supplement the absence of SPIN Cody this year. The CRH Foundation has an active ATV raffle fundraiser for a 2021 Can-Am Maverick™ Trail DPS 1000 Side By Side. Tickets are $20 each or six for $100. Drawing will be held on May 3, 2021! Anyone can purchase tickets online at https://p2p.onecause.com/crhatvraffleor in person at the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce in downtown Cody, WY.
