COVID-19 Update from Cody Regional Health for VISITATION

CODY, WY (March 13, 2020) – CRH has activated the Incident Command Center (ICC) structure to aid in our organized and systematic approach to managing the Coronavirus (Covid‐19) for those that may present to our hospital campus.

The ICC structure is scalable allowing us to expand or contract as needs dictate. The structure allows for streamlined communication with assigned roles for a specific purpose and information management. There have been no confirmed COVID‐19 cases for Cody Regional Health. The opening of the ICC is to ensure appropriate preparation and planning in case the situation changes.

• Cody Regional Health Incident Command has selected to reduce entry into the hospital campus effective at noon today, March 12.
• All visitors are being instructed to enter through the Main Entrance near the Emergency Department. Other doors will be locked to control access.
• A screening process is established at the Main Entrance. This will include taking the temperature of visitors and individuals with fevers will be prevented from visiting. Alternative options for contact with their loved ones will be made available.
• Screening includes questions related to signs or symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat in the last 14 days.
• Supporting the CMS recommendations, Long Term Care is not allowing any visitation at this time. Families are being directly contacted to share this. Additionally, visitors under the age of 16 are not being allowed into the hospital facility.

If individuals in the community have symptoms related to the coronavirus including sore throat, cough, fever of 100.4 or greater, difficulty breathing, they are being asked to call the Cody Regional Health Emergency Registration Line at 307.578.2000 where a nurse will speak with you about your symptoms.
