Cody Regional Health, previously West Park Hospital’s Wound Care Center is celebrating their one year anniversary of healing patients in the Big Horn Basin and would like to thank patients and their families for trusting in them with their wound care needs.
The wound care center had 1,801 patient visits in the last year with a rate of 98.23% success and an average heal time within 23 days of treatment started.
The clinic provides specialized treatment for chronic or non-healing wounds that have not significantly improved from conventional treatments. With state-of-the-art treatment available including debridement, dressing selections, and patient education for individuals with non-healing and chronic wounds.
The local wound care treatment provided at the center has reduced suffering for many and has prevented disability not only from the common causes of wounds, but also from unusual cases such as frostbite and long term complication of radiation therapy.
“The clinic focuses on chronic and non-healing wounds related to diabetes, poor circulation, poorly functioning veins, and immobility,” states wound care specialist Dr. Gary Hart. “We currently are staffed with two physicians, five nurses and a hyperbaric chamber technician.”
Patients can call the wound care receptionist for any information at 307.578.2538, or have a physician refer them to receive treatment at the wound care center.
