Ambulance Services Expand in the Big Horn Basin Region

Cody Regional Health (CRH) has expanded their EMS Services to South Big Horn Rural Health District (BHRHD). This service was previously provided by Guardian EMS Service, in conjunction with South Big Horn Hospital.

Phillip Franklin, Cody Regional Health’s EMS Director, was approached by BHRHD when Guardian EMS Service announced they would no longer be providing EMS services the beginning of March 2018.

Cody Regional Health and the South Big Horn Rural Health District came to an agreement on a contract to provide EMS services on February 15th, 2018.

“We are proud of the services our EMS provides to the residents of Cody and surrounding areas. We look forward to extending this high quality service to the residents of South Big Horn Rural Health,” Stated Cody Regional Health’s Chief Clinic Officer, Keith Ungrund.

Cody Regional Health will be employing additional EMT’s who will be stationed in Basin, Wyoming 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and respond to 911 calls and transfers in the District. The District includes the towns of Basin, Greybull, Shell, Manderson and Hyattville.

“We signed a 3 year contract with Big Horn County Rural Health Care District #1. We are looking forward to providing them a quality EMS program to serve the Big Horn Rural Health Care District,” States Director of Emergency Medical Services, Phillip Franklin.
